Someone still
looking after it.
118 business websites in Newmarket still show a copyright line five years old or more. Almost none of those owners decided to let the site rot — the person who built it moved on and there was nobody left to ask for a change.
We did not sample Newmarket — all 1,477 listings were checked, and each fault was counted on the page itself rather than estimated from a tool.
What the monthly fee is actually for
Hosting, the domain, the certificate, edits whenever you need them, your Google listing and ongoing search work. Not a maintenance plan on top of a separate SEO retainer on top of hosting — that arrangement is how three companies end up not quite talking to each other about one website.
Measurement first
442 of the 1,026 sites we opened in Newmarket have no analytics at all, which means their owners cannot tell whether anything they do works. That goes in before the work, not after.
What counts as an edit
Text, prices, photographs, a new service, a seasonal notice, a page for a new location. If it takes under an hour it is included, and most things do.
Trade by trade

The same survey, split by field. Electricians come top here with 17; gyms sit at 11. Fields are not comparable to each other on review counts, but they are on faults.

Of 1,026 working sites we opened in Newmarket, 118 carry a copyright line five years old or older and 572 carry no date at all. Only 506 show this year or last.

No. The monthly part is month to month, and the site and the domain are yours either way.
Your turn
Same check,
run on your site.
The check behind this page is the one we ran on every business above. Put your own address in and it will load your site on a phone screen, look at the certificate and the page age, and tell you what a visitor meets. No email, nothing stored.
Think yours needs
rebuilding?
Send us the address and what you do. We will look at what is there and tell you whether a rebuild is worth the money, or whether the problem is somewhere else entirely.
