Reviews · Richmond Hill
Asking properly,
in Richmond Hill.
In Richmond Hill the median business has 39 Google reviews and the quiet quarter of the market sits under 9. 149 have none at all — for them the first ten matter more than the next hundred ever will.
These are counts, not projections. 1,940 Richmond Hill listings, 1,305 working websites opened and read.
The moment matters more than the wording
The time to ask is when the work has just been finished and the customer is pleased. A week later that moment has gone. We set the ask up so it happens then, by whatever route that customer already uses.
Nothing bought, nothing screened
We do not buy reviews and we do not filter out the customers likely to be unhappy before asking. Both are against Google policy, both are detectable in the pattern, and the listing is usually worth more than the website.
What a realistic target looks like in Richmond Hill
Getting past 39 puts you in the upper half of this market. Getting past 120 puts you in the top quarter. Catching the 12,356 at the top took that business years and is not a first-year target.

Questions
What people ask us.
How many Google reviews do I need in Richmond Hill?
The median across 1,940 Richmond Hill businesses is 39; the top quarter is past 120. Those numbers are not comparable between trades — a count that is exceptional for an accountant is unremarkable for a restaurant.
Does a 5.0 rating look fake?
Above about fifty reviews, a perfect score starts to read as filtered. 1,006 businesses in Richmond Hill already hold 4.9 or better, so a high rating is table stakes here rather than a differentiator.
